Do i have nappa leather? How can i tell? And Colour Question!!!

I have black two tone leather on a 4.4 and it dosnt have sports pack and it is really soft. Im not sure if its nappa leather or not, how can i tell.


Also this colour is printed under the hood it says the colour of my car is "Titan Siber" what colours that? I have never seen this before. Isnt it normally Titan Silver ?

Only the 4.6/4.8is was offered Nappa. You have Dakota.

Nappa has always been available as an option in the UK. I have had it on all 3 of my X5s and they have all been 30d models. That said, the way to tell is by the texture. The Dakota leather has a more textured look where as the Nappa is smooth. Even when Nappa has been fitted, it isn't used in all areas, instead a mixture of Nappa and Dakota is used. As an example, the main part of the headrest on mine is Nappa, but the sides are Dakota. Going by your picture, it does look like you have Dakota.

I know I have the nappa leather because I have a 4.6is, but I also have the suede interior on the inside of the seats. Does anyone know what kind of package this is? I can't figure it out, any help would be great...a picture of the interior is under this thread, almost at the bottom of the screen http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...else-body.html

What is the difference, why do you want Nappa leather..............does it come from the wine country?

I actually like dakota better than nappa nappa looks too perfect
