X5 Sharp Whistle Noise from the engine
I have a BMW X5 2001 3.0, with a problem such as a sharp whistle noise that occurs only when I press the accelerator pedal at any speed, however, if I pressed the pedal further in or not touched at all the noise goes away, it happens also in reverse. Does anyone have any suggestions as what it may be the problem, I tryed the code reader however there were no faults stored, I suspect the fuel injection system, however, I could be wrong your help will be kindly appreciated?

It's normal. Every 3.0i X5 I've been in does this to a certain extent. Kewl X5 did have a fix, seems that the intake adjuster develops a leak sometimes.
