Tire pressure warning light

My light came on this morning. I went to the gas station, checked the pressure on all tires. One was a few pounds low but nothing dramatic. The light is still on. I shut off the engine and restarted, still on. That was several hours ago. Drove on the highway, she's straight as an arrow. Tires look fine. Do the sensors go bad? I'm the designated driver tonight, you think it's safe to take her out.

I would say it's safe to take her out.
My sensor still tells me my windshield wiper fluid is low after I filled it up last week.

I just think you need to reset it? Not sure...cuz I don't know how to do it.

You just need to reset the light.

Not sure, think right after start up you hold down the button for 3 mins, then drive for about 10 mins.

Other than resetting the light and keeping an eye on that low tire you should be fine.

That's the new window regulator of the X (always failing), a lot of people have had false alarm. I wouldn't worry about it too much, have fun tonight .

The sensors can go faulty. My cousin had problems with a sensor for months and BMW couldnt help either. Think he replaced all of them in the end. You can reset the tyre pressure control from inside the X. You turn the ignition to position 2 while holding down the RDC button then lift off and press again, and you will see these symbol ********** appear on your dash. which is the system resetting.

Thanks all - I was actually hoping you'd say leave her home - then I could drink while someone else drives

L, did the temps in your area drop pretty bad in the last 48 hours? I know my sensor trips whenever the temps drop, like when it is 30 degrees (like last night). If I drive the car the light usually kicks on because it senses a difference in the previous pressure. No biggie.

It sounds like it did what its suppose to do.

One tire was down a few pounds.

It happened to me and it turn out that I had picked up a nail.

Got tire fixed and no problems since then.

Yeah, it got cold last night. Temp dropped close to 20 degrees between day and night.
