No it is ruined. I took it to BMW to try to get it off. They could not and said make an appt. Any ideas?

When I look down in the slot all I see is a hole. The is a small piece of metal that looks like a lcamp that is loose and moving around. The head unit is tight in place. Once I get it out what will I need to replace?
