X5 With Big Wheels!!

Hi,

I am new in this forum.

Just bought myself a 2005 x5 3,0.

I am gonna buy new wheels for it.

Whats the largest wheel size one can fit on a x5?

Anyone seen x5 with 24s?

22" are ideal. Anything larger will look odd. Never mind problems with stoppping, going, and rubbing. GL

I agree with silver 5, although i opted for 20's and I too have an X5 3.0 and I was worried when I got the rims and tires. I didn't think it would fit but good thing it did.

I got the staggered size for the 4.6i which is 275/40 R20 in the front and 315/35 R20 for the rear. It looks way much better than the wimpy stock that it came with.

Still have to post some pics.

Good Luck Bimmer Boy! Post some pics when you've got them on so all can see.

I have seen 24". You barely see any rubber on those wheels. Wonder how the ride will be. I have the pics too somewhere.

Looks cartoonish....to big for the vehicle. Even 22's are on the edge of looking too large IMHO, seems to depend on the style wheel. BMW's are hard to pick wheels for. I have seen several wheels I thought looked great, then saw them on the X and didn't like it. There were a sweet set of tuner rims in 23" that I thought would look great, although they were like $6K. Can't imagine you have a lot of tire choices in those big sizes either.
