Seatbelt Alarm

My X5 is in the shop. They gave me an '06 325i coupe as a loaner with NO EVERLASTING SEATBELT ALARM!

I wonder if the non-stop seatbelt alarm is an X5 thing only... I wish there was a way to stop it. I wear my seatbelt all the time, but its a pain in the rear end every time I want to put something on the passenger seat!

Jose.
