Hey, i was wondering how many kms will a bmw 4.4 motor go for?

my dealer told me, 300000 km's and i should look for a replacement car , but the 'bmw dealer told'.... not very objective

i got 127k on mine... 01 4.4... raced my friends 03 4.4 with 60k on it the other night and he goes exhaust and ib eat him... so i dunno i think it'll last a long time

B&DCalgary is on a distinguished road
I know someone who works for BMW Corporate, and during one of his talks with some of the engineers he was told that the 4.4 is the best engine BMW makes. The same engineer also told him the 4.8 engine is a piece of junk in comparison.

The 4.4 is one of BMW's better engines, thats for sure, but the best? I'd have to disagree with that. The M50-M56 engines would be my choice...
