To Align or Not to Align

I just got BMW wheels style 132 (5 star) 20" staggered and I was wondering if I need alignment since I upgraded to bigger wheels.

I read somewhere in this forum that someone had rubbing on their rear tires or some type of problem using Toyo Proxes and that's what I am using now.

275/40 R20's FRONT
315/35 R20's REAR

By the way, do you guys think I should lower my ride? I know some of you guys have lowered your X5s but from my past experience, lowering rides have always made the ride even stiffer than it is now. If you recommend lowering, what springs is best suited for X5s and how much are they? I don't have height adjustment option on mine, just to let you guys know.

TIA
