Don't know, never had any problem responding to my e-mails. Perhaps he has limited quantities and is rolling out slowly?

Here's the upgrade link from e60.net:

just looked at that post and I can't see how an upgrade for $99 plus the original iBright is a favorable solution considering we paid $315 in the group buy for a product that had problems to begin with. A swap plus me paying for shipping would seem to be a more favorable solution considering the group buy on that site is $289.

It's all about the value proposition. Apparently it's not for you and you should most likely stick with your current product.

Curious as to how that proposition is fair? I can see how it worked for you, considering you paid $150 for the Predator Ice and Dave gave you a competitive upgrade, which to me, sounds like you just paid the difference between the PIs and the iBrights. For me, it's about principle...it would be one thing if the iBrights 1.0 worked perfectly and I wanted to upgrade, I'd gladly pay for the upgrade...it's another when there are issues to begin with. He's already made money off of the original, why should he make another $100 for switching a defective product? Doesn't make sense.

i probably should just stay out of the thread, but i think its alrreayd a generous offer for dave to offer a 99$ upgrade on version 1.0 customers. people that bought say the e46 m3 when it first came out weren't offered brand new e46 m3's when the better ones came out?!?!?!

well let's say that the e46 m3 was a lemon (which is what the old iBrights are - they blink, flicker and there's no solution), wouldn't you be allowed to return it and get your money back or get another one at the same price, even if the replacement is better? I'd be happy with the iBright 1.0 if it didn't flicker or blink and would gladly exchange the 1.0 I have for a 1.0 that didn't have problems.

well are the ibrights constantly flickering and blinking or is this only at startup? i still think that people that bought in windows vista cant be complaining for new release issues either...same goes with this vers 1.0 vs vers 2.0. you get the chance to upgrade for a nominal fee, no big deal to me imo.

Well, I reported the flicker/blink faults to Dave less then 2 weeks of the initial purchase.
If you search on “Angel Bright” or my posts, you will see how easy it is for Dave to give out the promises but not able to keep up.
As of today, this thread, Dave gave another promise AGAIN and I want to see when he is going to fulfill it. You never know if it’s another bs or not… just keep you waiting… and waiting…

Yes, if I get the chance to upgrade from v1.0 to v2.0 for a nominal fee, that is no big deal to me either. However, that would base on if my V1.0 is not a lemon initially.
