Park Distance Control going wacky

Over the last 2 days I have noticed that my PDC has been going off for a bout 10-15 seconds after I leave a parking space when there is nothing around me. It beeps very quickly as if there was wall around me then after about 10 seconds of open driving is shuts off. I checked all of the sensors they appear to be fine (none broken and no obstructions). Any ideas?

Yep, sounds like the PDC computer has gone south. Had the same problem, they replaced PDC computer and life is good again!

It could also just be a bad sensor. I have had one replaced. The trick is figuring out which one is bad.

The symptom was that there was a long beep whenever I'd reverse even with nothing around me. The beep came from the front speaker which is where the bad sensor was.

There was a recent thread about this problem. Try a search for it.

Thanks, great idea I did just replace the right rear corner a few months ago and I belive that is where the beeping is coming from.
