Winter Tires?

I was wondering what people's experiences have been with winter tires(studded and not) on their X5's. I live in Breckenridge Colorado, and during the winter it is permanately icy from late november until almost february. Any opinions/advice would be nice.

Thanks!

I'm located in Boulder, CO and i have been using the perelli ice and snow tire. Works great in all winter conditions. Studded would be pretty loud.

Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow all the way.
I will never get a different winter tire.
Worth every penny.

if you want a great winter tire,
consider Nokian Hakkapelita as well

I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; it's been winter here for a month.

Dealers sell the Scorpions mounted on 18's, it's a great ice and snow tire. I have used my set for 2 winters now with no complaints.

ebay sometimes has a set as opposed to paying 3k at the dealer.

Dunlop Winter Sports. I can't imagine why you would need studed snow tires unless you have a old rear wheel drive car.
