Is this normal?

Hi Everyone,

I just started noticing that when I'm in the basement garage at work, if I have my lights off, the radio reception is OK, but I get zero reception on the radio when my lights are turned on? Has anyone else noticed this and if this is normal or is there a way to fix it? TIA.

Mine works fine indeed my Sirius works fine in my garage with the door closed as well light on or off. A strange problem indeed!

Is your garage down in a basement? Where I park for work is usually 2-3 floors below street level.

Nope don't have that problem, street level. Maybe there is an RF amplifier wired into the lighting system

i wonder if the antenna or the wire to the antenna runs along side the power wire to the lights and that's what's causing the static
