I live in Westchester and have been driving my 4.6 around the city for 3 years. I have never had a problem with the stock 20" rims and tires. Go with OEM sizes and you will be fine.........

we sell a LOT of TSW, and have never had a problem with bends on 5-series, 7-series, e-class and s-class (all heavy vehicles). I have put TSW on two of my best customers X5's (one on two years ago) with no problems at all.

The two X5's - one is in CO (horrible mountain roads) and one in Washington.

I caution all to remember that isolated issues that one member has had may be real, but they are often not the complete or real story.

PS, the wheel that I LOVE on the X5 is the Catalunya in 20x9 and 20x10. We use Toyo 295 fronts and 315 rears. These are the sizes I have on my OE 2.6 20's on my X5. I would have put the same TSW set-up, but we bought it used and it came with the OE wheels (which I love just as much).

Thanks
brad

lets see da pics of the TSW catalunya.....

I was also thinking of getting the 295 on the fronts adn 315 on the backs for that aggresive look but alot fo ppl tell me to stay away from that.....and go with 295 all the way around.

i will post pics from the office on Monday. man - the staggered look is the only way to go IMHO!

To Anton, have you seen Catalunya's are an X5? Of course you are welcome to your opinion, but wheels are very subjective. Just because you do not like them, it does not make them "Horrid" LOL. I don't like Rolex watches, and prefer GP, AP, Choppard, etc. That does not make Rolex "horrid" - it is just not my taste.

Thanks
Brad

I did have some TSW wheels, all 4 wheels were out of round! At one point, the vibrations were so bad that I could barely hold on to the steering wheel on the expressway. I do give discounttire credit though, they did not give me a hard time about returning the wheels even after they were mounted. Of course, after the fiasco of getting them in the first place.....but that's another story.
