New owner - 04 4.4i Sport, no warranty!
Just joined the board and picked up a new tow vehicle: an out-of-warranty Toledo Blue/Black 2004 X5 4.4i with Premium, Sport, Cold, Nav, rear climate package, adj. rear seats, adj. air suspension, running boards, and premium audio. Aftermarket sat radio, hardwired radar, and rear headrest DVD. 79K miles for $18.5K. It went to auction with its winter wheel set, but I just picked up Style 63 mounted with Turanza summers. It caught my attention b/c it is one of the few sports in the Denver area that had the BMW hitch!

Has a decent documented one owner BMW dealer-serviced history, but I'm rolling the dice on this one and bought it from an independent dealer. Wish me luck on this experiment. No dealer safety net like our other two BMWs have. The board is a great resource and helped me along the way. You'll probably see posts from me on various maladies, but hopefully not too many . . . . Pic attached.

I was on the same boat as you... bought my X5 from an Independent dealer but i'm fortunate that I have some buddies of mine that hooked me up with a good Independent Shop. Congratulations on the purchase!!

Congrats. Awesome exterior color.

Keep the wheels you have for snows. Watch out for rear wear on the Turanzas, they go fast.

Can you post some more pics of the interior, radar install, DVD setup, etc.?
