Looking to buy one, some on ebay state black but then anthracite next to that which is like a coal color, is this the standard black? I have a black/black X and want to make sure I get the correct color, is there no true black M wheel? Or is it like a black coal type color? Thanks.

There are 2 e46 SMG wheels.
One is black leather like mine
The other is a Suede/Alcantara wheel which is a black/grey color. You dont want the Suede/Alcantara wheel as its not as nice it wears very badly plus it does not come with all the buttons either.
You will be happy with the SMG wheel like mine as my 4.6 is black with black and it matches in perfect!

Sudesh, sorry i was out of town.

Great pic, i had never seen a right hand steering X5 before

Do you have the part # of the SMG and the connecting kit ? I have the round airbag from my steering wheel. Is it the same one ? or do i need a new one ?

Hi!

If you have the round airbag then yes you can use it. Can you post a pic of the airbag you have so I can be sure, as I know a few people who think the round airbag on the facelifted X's are the same but they are NOT!!
The part number for the SMG wheel is: 32342282222

The only way to get the SMG wiring kit is either to make it yourself or buy it from paddleshift.com. BMW dont sell a retrofit kit.

Hi. That airbag will NOT fit an SMG steering wheel. You will need the round airbag like in my pic.

Best place to put it is on ebay. But prices for wheels and airbags seem to be all over the place!!
