X5 Doesn't want to play

The other day my X5 3.0 SES came on and it started running rough and smoking (white) like crazy. Thought I had a blown head gasket but there is no sign of oil in coolant or vice versa. I ran the codes and there were seven all dealing w/ misfires. Here are the codes:

P1347 - Misfire Cyl. 3 w/ fuel cutoff
P1353 - Misfire Cyl. 6 w/ fuel cutoff
P0300 - Multiple Cyl. misfire
P0267 - Cyl. 3 Injector Circuit low
P0300 - Multiple Cyl. misfire
P1345 - Misfire Cyl. 2 w/ fuel cutoff
P1343 - Misfire Cyl. 1 w/ fuel cutoff

Any ideas??

hi rjs1222,

I had this same problem last week. my wife started the car and the car sounded bad - the car was also trembling very hard. unusual. So i brought it immediately to the dealers (still under warranty) and they found that Cylinder No 5 was mis-firing. This means that the starter coil (which is electrical) is not functioning and thus the spark plugs are not firing. This causes a lapse in power when you drive it. You will need to change the starter coils. they replaced all 6 (mine is a 3.0L).

hope the above helps.

Yep, my guess its the coils. It has yet to happen to the X but it did on my work truck. Coil shot. CE light came one, ran terrible.
