hi rjs1222,
I had this same problem last week. my wife started the car and the car sounded bad - the car was also trembling very hard. unusual. So i brought it immediately to the dealers (still under warranty) and they found that Cylinder No 5 was mis-firing. This means that the starter coil (which is electrical) is not functioning and thus the spark plugs are not firing. This causes a lapse in power when you drive it. You will need to change the starter coils. they replaced all 6 (mine is a 3.0L). hope the above helps. |

Yep, my guess its the coils. It has yet to happen to the X but it did on my work truck. Coil shot. CE light came one, ran terrible.
