There was a thread a while back by Steved who fitted a set of 19" M3 CSL wheels on his 4.8is and they didn't fill the wheel well enough. Find that thread! EDIT: Found it! As you can see, it looks odd and those are 19's. Sure some bigger tires would help but it would still look unbalanced.

Yea, it looks terrible with those low profile tires, I was thinking of using my stock tires, but I see your point.

20 is the way to go. If you want to be a big time guy go for the 22s.
18s is toooo small. no way. |

I agree, I'll probably get those for my 3 series.

Not too long ago, I also looked into those wheels for a winter setup. But then, I realized that they may look too "busy". Or, as a girl told me, "too much finesse for a truck". And she was right.
Let's be realistic. The X5 is a truck, and therefore, it needs to look rugged. You can't have a lumberjack wear Berluti moccasins. The only way to make those wheels look decent, is to get them on 20" at least. But that's just my personal opinion. |

If I end up getting those for the X it will be 20's definetely. I'm always on the market for some style 69 stocks but no luck on finding them yet. I'll probably get the 20's in the spring.
