I've got a short in my instrument cluster
Dropped the X off at the dealer yesterday. Even after they changed the steering rack, I still wasn't happy with the front end. Too much play in the steering wheel and I was all over the road when hitting any kind of bump or uneven road seam. Anyway, as I was leaving I mentioned that I was hearing a surging noise while idling. They just called, the front end is done, some kind of bushings. They said that the electical surge I heard was due to a short in the instrument cluster and they will replace.
 Are they going to rip my dashboard apart.  Anyone else have this one happen?
