i have an 02 X5.
i have not seen anybody on this board who did this mod on a facelifted x5 ( 04 and up) or at least opening up an 04+ headlight. so i cannot answer your question since your x is an 04. BTW, GL

They use a new glue on yours, you can't even take the lights apart on yours

Oh well, I guess I won't be able to achieve the "clear" look. It's just not worth the money to replace them with euroclears...unless someone is wanting to dump theirs at a cheap price.

is there any company out there that makes a fully clear corner lense for the 00-02 x5's?

I dont think so..Ive been looking for awhile and I could not find any company that makes clear lenses for X5's. The closest you could come to a clear corner lense is to get a pair of the 'sport' clear lenses with the amber reflector on the side and then trim the amber part off.

The other alternative is taking out the amber reflector and not replacing it with anything...just take out the amber bulbs and replace them with chrome stealth turn signal bulbs (which are unfortunately back ordered) from:

I will try to post some over the weekend, I still have the orange bulbs in there because JLevis said the stealth bulbs I ordered are on back order. At least you will get an idea of what the headlights will look like without the turn signal lense. I believe this is a common mod and I know that I have seen a few others who have done the AE mod and removed the turn signal lense, try doing an AE mod search and you should find a couple.

Sorry for the delay, here is what my headlights look like. The stealth "chromed" turn signal bulbs will make a huge difference, I ordered them but they have not arrived yet. Hope this helps. The AE's came out great and I like the look of the amber turn signal lense delete:
