132s are Close...Lug Bolt Question:

My "new to me" oem 132s w/tars, are very close...

Anyone here do oem Style 132s in place of style 69s?

If so, do my oem 18" Style 69 wheel lug bolts "reach" properly into the 132 lug hole? I fookin hope so.

I think they'll be fine, but don't quote me on that. I changed mine from 18" style 74 star spokes and the lugs are just fine... Can't wait to see the pics David!

Thanks Jay...
I suspect my lug bolts will fit, as your replaced Style 74 wheels are same size/offset as my Style 69s.

I am excited, but having not-yet-bought buyer's remorse over the expenditure; I am getting a very fair deal, imo, from a fellow poster here, but the dough outlay is nagging at me, as it is a nearly 5 yr old 3.0.

But, barring calamity, I plan to keep it another 18-24 months and was looking at having to replace the orig Michey 18" tires late this summer.

I am excited; the wheels & tires are nearly new and pristine.

When I get them on, next week and, clean up the ol'bastard X, I'll do some pics with my new digi SLR.
Live until the money runs out!

md- I believe you may consider the new wheels and tars mod #2, unless you made an addition I am unaware of

Good goin', bud! Those'll be nice to ride on back north from Flawraduh!

E: I didn't ditch the ol'faithful Canon S50; great specs, (for its time), good performance, (subject matter helps, lol!), but it's narrow zoom range, lack of real wide angle and a tad "fuzzy" at infinity, made me go looking.

I grabbed a new KonicaMinolta 5D bod, via Buy.com, (rec'd site by many here, thanks), for a very good price. I realize they are outta the biz and sold that div. to Sony,NoBaloney, but I have used my Minolta Maxxum X7 film cam. for years, have a very wide 17-35mm Sigma zoom and a 28mm-135 Sigma zoom that snap right onto the new KM 5D. Price was right, all the parts "fit", etc.

I have taken a few pics with it, but no "scenery shots" as the "views" here in the flatlands are not the same as back in the mtns. It's a good cam, but have not fully digested the digi shot quality, yet. Cam body has a few quirks and some funky ergonomics, imo, but a good deal and was not in mkt for 9 Mpegs/$1000 and changing lens system brands.

NEway, when I get the new wheels on, and clean the punque up, I'll do some 132 shots.
Thanks & BR, md

JV: Yeah, mod#2, if you count my BeamER spinners and/or 20 coats of Zaino, mod one, .

Speaking of running back to the mtn, I am getting the itch to run the X back, (with new wheels on and the 69s in the trunk), and pick up my VetteVert...am having serious Vette or M'cycle withdrawl. We needed the X and daFridge to get all the stuff down here, but the X sits most of the time, here. We could almost squeak by with one car here, if it wasn't for the room needed in the migration process. But, the Vette would do fine for the migration north. It is just sitting in the garage becoming a packed mouse motel I suspect and I don't mean MiCkey.

Thanks, JV, my BigBud.

MD, the lug bolts should reach just fine. I upgraded from the oem type 130 17s to the 132s using the same oem lug bolts...fit perfectly.

Just another bit of advice,MD.
As well as making sure that the lugs are the same size, you also have to confirm that the "lug hole" seating is the same on both wheels.VERY IMPORTANT.

I went from style 69 to style 87 wheels and had to change the lugs!

I thought all BMW wheels used cone seat bolts. The RealOEM site lists the same part number for the bolts for these two styles. Were they replicas?
