Pixels are going BAD

Pixels are going bad. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of what the best fix might be? I assume the dealer will want lots of $$$$ for this.

Thanks!!!!

Pixels aren't going bad. Connection to the mobo is going bad. You can make it work with a players card and scissors to cut it into small strips so you can put them against the ribbon on the mobo and force contact. You can also locate a new ribbon.

I've delt with the VDOrepair.com through eBay and he is a liar. I'm out $355 because of him, but, that's just my experience.

Wait mobo connection going bad? What happens next? My instrument cluster is reading 21volts could this be the cause?

You take the cluster out of the car, take off the back cover, flip it over, drill some holes to gain access to the screws to take it apart further, and get to the ribbon strip assembly. It's a pain in the ass if you don't know what you're doing, so I suggest sending it to a repair company like VDOrepair.com if you don't feel comfortable ripping apart your gauge cluster.

FYI....I'm fixing mine this weekend by replacing the ribbon strip. I'll snap some pictures.
