thoughts on switching to the M3, M5 or M6 oval rear view mirror?

Has anyone accomplished this? are the M rear view mirrors auto-dimming and do they have the compass on it like the X5 mirrors do? Would it be an easy switch? Is it even worth it?

Doesn't match the vehicle, IMO...

From the pics, it looks like I will have to give up the compass on the mirror, right?

Is that mirror auto dimming?

That's the mirror I have on my M3 (with SMG). Can someone explain the correlation of the mirror to the SMG steering wheel?
