Exclamation Breaks HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Just had my back brake pads replace, but I still have the light (BRAKE in red) on.... How can I turn it off?????

Oops! Typical brake job includes pads, rotors, and the brake sensor. Check out the brake articles on this website for more information.

Did a dealer do the work? Sounds like the sensor wasn't replaced or it was installed improperly.

Ummm, I could be wrong but the last time I replaced pads and sensors I had to do something with the key in the 1 or 2 position for a few seconds to get the idiot light to reset. Am I incorrect here? It's been a while and as the old expression goes, I've slept since then...

As the other guys have mentioned, the important thing is that the sensor has indeed been replaced.

Look at your receipt. Any brake sensors on it? Could just nee to reset
the light. Can do at Autozone. Might need to go back to mech
for recheck in case of slip up. Is it stopping well?

The car is stopping rigth, the sensor was not replace and the dealer did not do the job, he use the same sensor that was there before. SO ...
Do I need to replace the sensor everytime they do a brake job?

Yes, you need a new sensor every time
