battery keeps draining

3rd time it's done it

car freaked out this time, when I tried to start it, the lights flashed on/off

then the alarm goes off the next time I try

any suggestions where to look to find what's draining the battery at night?

battery was replaced about 3 weeks ago, I thought it was a bad battery that caused the problem the first time, it was due anyway

seems ok, the battery drains if the car sits more than a couple days

one of the problems my BMW dealer found out with my used '01, was the a/c fan never turned off (plus the infamous final stage resistor) - worth a check to find out what may not be shutting down

the light on the shifter never shuts off

that means it's never entering sleep mode right? What would cause this, the car is bone stock with nothing in the cig lighters

can the final stage resistor cause this problem?

I lost front fan control once in the car, but it started working again so I considered it a fluke
