X5 3.0 Humming sound after stopping engine
Since weather has become colder (<40 F) I have noticed humming sound that can last up to 2-3 min after enginer is stopped. Humming/buzzing type noice comes from the "black box" that is on the right side of the engine next (once you face to rear) to air intake/fuel injection. Is it normal or should I talk to service? My X5 is year 2003 3.0i. Does anyone else have smilar obsevations? Think you in advance for help.

Could it be the electric fan? It's on for a while if the engine has been working hard...

yep...my fan stays on as well for a few minutes even if i've already parked and shut off everything
