Getting my X5

Hi all. I am just about to embark on a wonderful journey I hope, with my 2001 X5 4.4i Sports. Cars had 65000 miles on the clock. Rich guy who had 5 cars and traded this in for a Porsche 4 wheel drive.

You cannot believe what I had to do to get it. Firstly, this car cost a bomb over here used. I bought it at US$ 80,000. I sold my Range Rover P38 4.6 HSE and by BMW E38 728, just to dump the money for a downpayment on this car. Resale value is bad, but I still had to pay this much for it.

I hope I am making the right choice. Wish me luck when I collect it tomorrow. I was too afraid to go there today to take it. Somehow, thrilled is not the right word. Scared or cautious would be. I know it sounds mad, my friends keep telling me that, but I have a nervous anticipation about it. Like when I got my 7 series. Perhaps its the thought of buying a beemer.

I hope you guys can give me some words of encouragement. I will show you some pics and probably ask a lot of questions here when I get it.
