Oh boy do you mean the rear air suspension or the actual ride height adjustment equipment. Having an '04 with it installed I would say its one hell of a retrofit with the wiring and the pumps/suspension equipment.
Maybe someone on the board has some inside knowledge but just looking at my factory set up I'd say its gonna be a bitch

You could go down to the local import shop & get some hydraulics put on that thing..........get some 3 wheel motion going on an X..........hehehehehe

I've heard it is kind of hard to find X5's with it too. I got lucky when I found mine - it has it. I really wasn't too familiar with it until I got mine, then people told me that know about them and they said they don't see it that often. Sometimes when I park, I just hit it to lower it for the look............I kind of like it.
