Need Volume Higher with Bluetooth.........

I have yet to figure out how to increase the volume of the speakers while using my bluetooth connection. I have Nav and I tried the stereo volume and it did not seem to work. I have read the ULF pdf and found nothing.

Help?

Did you try the volume buttons on the steering wheel?

Please provide details on your setup.

1. Year of vehicle
2. DSP or non-DSP
3. Self-install or dealer install.

Yeah, it seems like I tried everything, as to avoid asking a stupid question here. I will be trying everything again on my way home.

2004 - 02/04 Bulid Date
Nav with DSP
Self Install, removed Assist (Newest 522 ULF from Martin Bishop)

As Peter suggested, try using the steering wheel volume controls. That operates mine just fine. I did have to install an elk800 amp to raise the volume levels, but that was because I do not have DSP.

Why is it that sometimes I can adjust the volume using my steering wheel controls and sometimes I can't??

Also sometimes it just won't hang-up a call when I'm done! I keep trying to end the call using the 'speak' button on the steering wheel ...but it will not end the call unless I end the call physically from the cell phone itself!

This also happens when I get a busy signal when calling someone. It just will not hang-up the call until I hear the busy signal forever and finally disconnects!

I know it's not the cell phone 'cos it works fine without BT.

Unhappy

OK, here's a new one. While playing with bluetooth, trying all the buttons.

(I did discovered the steering wheel volume does adjust the phone volume. Mine was all the way up so hitting the + was doing nothing and I wish it could go louder)

Anyway after ending my last "bluetooth test all the buttons" call, the radio did not come back on. That was it, NO more radio, NO CD, NO aux input. Everything else works, DSP, Trip computer, Nav, Voice Recoq, even another bluetooth call. But no radio! I have tried the mode button and the volume knob.

What happened?? Better still, how do I fix? Is there a radio RESET button somewhere? (car sat overnight and still does not work.)

Were you able to get the sound back on the radio?

Back to the BT volume issue, with certain phones you can also adjust volume levels from the phone itself while it is connected to the ULF. See if you can make adjustments there to your liking.

Pulled fuse, did not help, so it went to the dealer this morning. I will keep you posted.

Any recalls or TSB's for a "virgin" 2004 X5 4.4i bulid date 02/04. It has never been back at the dealer since new. (now has 7,100 miles)
