what brakes to buy?

Its time to buy new brakes for my X5 so I figured I'd get something alittle better than what came on it from BMW. Its a 02 4.4i with 44k on it. I thought about checking to see if I have enough to have them cut, but decided I'd just get new rotors. Any thoughts on slotted or just go with plain brembos. As far as pads I HATE DUST, and Sqealling. Any help or recommendations will be apreciated. I searched but saw a bunch of different opinions. Thanks

Thanks. I have some axxis pads on my 1.8t Jetta and they work ok, I have Mintex redbox pads on my SLC Corrado, but I'm unhappy with them. How are those Axxis deluxe pads on the dust, fade. Any personal experiences with them good and pad. I noticed someone had used HAWK pads too which ones?

Also like in the link that was posted the slotted rotors in that style(angled) anyone ever use those on their X I have a set like those but they are drilled to on my corrado, but I don't want to go the drilled route. I'd rather they just be slotted.

I have had very good performance (ie no fade, no dust, no hassles, no squeal, no wear issues) with EBC Red Box for the 4.8, and Greens for the 3.0

Standard discs just needed a skim to allow them to be properly bedded then drove away without a drama.

Cheers

Wheels after a few weeks of city driving....
