Headlight condensation - dang it!

Ran out at lunch yesterday to get the X washed -- had our share of snow in Denver as of late. Was sure nice to see the silver paint again. Anyway, when I left work last night, I noticed condensation inside the left headlight. I saw the instructions on the home page - take out the high beam bulb and use a shop-vac to suck out the moisture. Anyone tried this yet? Is this the preferred method, or are there others. It's an '01, so this is going to be a DIY - no warranty. Thx.
