Idle rpm?

At what rpm does your 4.4 idle when warmed up - when stopped in P?
Mine is at 500(?)rpm - first notch on tach. Just curious as I was in a friends 4.4 and it seemed to be idling a little lower.

Mine is about 500-550 too. It seems a bit low to me but it's not rough at all...

Thanks Jay.
I love this forum - but I think it's turning me into a hypocondriac about my X.

Do you mean the modulator that controls the piston return spring?

No it drives the flux capacitor and regulates the space/time continuum!

It also depends on engine temp. If your engine is cold it will idle a little higher than normal...
