'03 X5 3.0 Facelift

I was wondering if any of you guys know when the facelift happened on the X5 3.0s?

I checked on my hood and the date of my X5 states 10/03...so is my X5 a pre facelift or post facelift?

thinking of getting some aftermarket parts and i just want to make sure I get the right one.

Facelift occurred with model year 2004. A 10/03 production is most likely a 2004 model year vehicle.

so does that mean adding angel eyes on my 10/03 X5 is possible since it is a 2004 model?

If it is a 2004 it would already have angel eyes

I have an '01 3.0. How difficult is it to add the Angel Eyes to this model? Can I do it myself, or do I need to take it to a pro?

indeed, production 10/03 is the start of the FL versions. mine too was produced 10/03 with facelift. angel eyes are already there. u just need to pick up Predator Ice from JLevi to change the color from stock yellow to bright white to match the Xenons. go for it!

If you contact JLevis or Umnitza, they can recommend a factory approved installer in your area for the angel eyes. The steps in the above article would be required for your '01 X5. If you have halogens, you might also want to consider upgrading to Xenons at the same time you install the AE's.

the best way to find out if yours is a facelift is probably post a picture so we can take a look at it.

My 2004's built date is 09/03 and it has the angel eyes and of course, the revised look.
