New Brake Pads

I need to replace my brake pads on my 2001 BMW X5 4.4i. Can any body suggest me a replacement part they have used, Ceramic vs Semi-Metalic.
The factory installed is semi metallic, can I go with ceramic or could I just stick to OEM style? Also any recommendation on online parts.

Go with AXXIS Deluxe also known as PBR Deluxe. Much less dust as OEM.
Google for both.

My rotors are good, I will not go for a rotor. But then I'm looking into getting a ceramic brake pad, not too convinced yet.

Sooooooo happy with my Axxis Deluxe (PBR Deluxe here in Canada) brake pads. Should have replaced the OE pads much sooner. No noise, great feel and stopping power yet takes forever to build up brake dust (unlike OE pads).

Don't like PBR Plus. I used them on my 01 X5 and friend's 03 540. Very little dust, true. However, after about a year, both cars vibrated when the brakes were applied. If you want good braking, you need to live with the dust issue. The next pad I'm trying is the exclusive Bavauto Padgid Red.

I had no vibration problems with multiple sets of Axxis Deluxe. You may want to look to the rotors for the cause of the vibration more than the pads. Possibly pad deposition onto the rotors causing it.

Good braking is not limited to pads with carbon black as a filler ingredient.
