"sigh" cant decide. Mod or trade in

hi i got the pre-facelift 03 3.0i w/ premium + activity for US$ 36k at 46000 miles. now its at 58700 miles. love the car but i really like the facelifted version now.

i would love to mod the hell out of it (facelift + rims + repaint) but is it worth it? or is it better just to trade it in for an 04-06 x or even 08 x5?

perhaps someone here was once in the same situation i'm in now and could be of asistance.

thanks in advance

I say go for a newer x5. You'll pay a bit more, but you'll be getting a newer x5.

I think I read the facelift will run you right around $5k.

The newer x would have some sort of warranty and maybe matinence.

Did you buy your X about a year ago?

How much do you love your current E53? Test drive a E70 and decide whether you like it or not. It's changed quite a bit. I think your gut reaction will lead you to the right choice.

Newer isn't always better guys. I would buy a E46 over an E90 anyday.

why dont you just buy some nice headlights that make it look closer to the facelift?

the headlights on the pre-facelift look so cheap and dull

everyone says the ebay headlights are cheap but nobody has tried

I think you might be stuck with your X unless you want to take a big loss on selling/trading it in.

I paid thousands less than you did for a fully loaded 4.6is with less miles. Granted its a year older but it also has $5,000 worth of Dinan in it. I bought mine in Feb. 6 months after you purchased yours.

I vote for getting a E70. The facelift is just that. Wait a while and get a used E70 or demo for additional savings.
