X5 3.0d Eprom Modification?

Does anyone make the eprom modification on the diesel version of x5? I'd like to do it but I hear continuously different point of wiev. Now I want to know something from who really do it in his car?

I take it the X5 diesel is the basically the same unit as in the 535D, 2993cc.
It, the 535D, has a 2nd turbocharger, 2 stage blowers, a lot more ooomph, so it appears the basic engine can take the extra power.
Someone here may know more.

yes, but what about the transmission ? 535d has a different transmission to the X5. What my tuner said (he owns both the 184hp and 218hp X5's and experiments on them):
- 184hp transmission can take a safe max of 500Nm and 220hp
- 218hp transmission can take a safe max of 580Nm and 250hp
