Bosch ICONs work well in snow showers

Saturday night, the temps got cold here because of the Arctic air from Alaska and it also brought along some moisture....With temps in the 30s, we got snow last night. Went to party where it was about 5000 feet about sealevel and about 3-4 inches of snow fell on the ground. After the party was over, we finally got to test out the Bosch ICONS (front & rear wipers) on our E53 X5 with at least 2-3 inches of snow on the X5 windsheld!! The wipers were awesome and it didn't get affected by the snow or ice.

I also had a chance to drive it in the rain yesterday afternoon before it snowed and it was nice & clear!!

Have you tried them in the rain, or on the train....you'll like green eggs and ham

Well, keep us updated!

Hey Charles...quick question...

When you changed your wiper arm, did the new metal arm slide all the way down the bolt? Mine slid in just enough for the nut to attach, but no more.

Oh man...y'all did it again. Mod fever! (And I just installed my new 20" 132 reps not even one week ago...) Now I gotta go find a set of these bad boy wipers for my X. Wifey has them on her Civic and had them on her S4. They ARE the ticket for winter driving! Hellooooooo Icon!

LOL...I think there are at least 5 other members changing to Bosch Icons this week, as well!

I can't remember except that the old plastic wiper arm had notches in the hole and the new metal wiper arm did NOT have any notches. I think when I installed the metal wiper arm, it was moving freely and I had to tighten the nut decently to prevent it from moving. I don't remember having any problems in sliding in the new metal wiper arm. You probably don't need much to keep it attached. You should test it our to see if the wiper arm falls off (be sure to install the ICONs on so you don't scratch your rear window).

It is funny that SoCal got snow before you guys did.

We installed the Icon, but I was afraid to use it...I didn't want it to go flying off! The nut is screwed on enough so that it is flush with the top of the bolt. I was just wondering if yours is the same.

Yeah...it was 73F here today!!!
