Franklin Joseph is on a distinguished road
Squeek above center vent

Firstly, is there a similar type repair manual/DIY on the X5? i tried looking for a bentley but couldnt find one.

there's a mouse like squeek coming just above the center vent.
Driving on smooth roads is fine. When the road isnt smooth, it starts squeeking...and we narrowed it down to this area...cause when it squeeks and we put pressure just above the vent, it goes away.
When i got home (parked),i gently knock the top and it squeeked.

I called BMW and this is not covered under CPO. Anyone every experienced this? any tips on removing the vent and checking in there? or do i have to take it in? Damn dealer wants $125 just to look at it.

thanks
franklin
