Something wrong with my height adjustment.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post about this as this is my first post.

I have a 2003 X5 4.4 with adjustable height. The day before yesterday I received a display stating that the suspension adjustment had been automatically disabled. I looked at all the tired and noticed that the car was lower on the driver side front tire and the tire was very close to hitting the wheel well. I managed to drive the car all the way home without a problem. The button to adjust the height of the vehicle had been disable and not operating. The next morning I turned the vehicle on and noticed the the button for height adjustment was enabled again. I pressed the button to raise the car and it seemed to work, however when I tried lowering the vehicle it did not lower the car, The warning is no longer showing on my dash but still noticed that is a bit of a height different between the right and left wheel wells.

Has anyone had this problem happen to their X5?

Obviously I am going to take the car into the dealership to have it looked at.

I also have another issue. My warranty ended on 12/13/2006, the problem happend on 12/14/2006, I called the dealership to get the car in on 12/15/006... The dealership said that the earliest they can get me in is on 12/19/2006. I asked the dealership if there is any kind of grace periods on the warranty since this happend a day after the warranty ran out. They said they said to bring the car in and they will look to see what is wrong, and see if BMW can work something out with them.

What is the likelyhood that BMW would repair the car at no cost?

Thank you.

Ambro
