OK-new to the X5-A few ?s

I have spent HOURS searching through the forums-so please, no UTFSF or RTFM responses :-)

I just purchased a '04 4.4 Alpine White X5 for the wife. Had her in an Infiniti FX previously. My daily driver is a modestly modded Audi S4 (b5).

At any rate, we already love the X, but we want to do the 4.8 front and rear and have been looking for a fair price. I have seen as little as ~400 for the front bumper in a few post (mainly ebay items), but when I check creiverbmw.com, which appears to be highly recommended, I see $680 for the front and $587 for the rear-without paint. Pacific BMW's website sux, as they don't have a part no. lookup function. So, where is the best (cheapest) place to ge the kit? Can it be ordered painted? Does anyone have a complete list of the part numbers needed? Thanks!!!

Welcome and kudos on being a premier member on your first post.

I've never heard of anyone ordering pre-painted OEM body kits.

Ebay may be cheaper but you take your chances on what you are getting.

You can look up part numbers here.

Rayxi,
Thanks for the link!

I don't mind having the pieces painted-I was just curious if they could be ordered pre-painted. I feel the same way about ordering off of ebay-unless there are some reputable ebay dealers you guys on the forum have delt with in the past. I just don't want to pay way too much for the front bumper/rear skirt. My local dealer is a stealership defined Thanks again!

By the way,
Very nice forum here-I've already found a ton of useful information

No prob. You think your stealer prices are high? They're a bargain compared to the prices north of the 49th!

They are usually not painted, buy from the dealer, I think it's better quality than all those other unknown places, mod tastefully, it's a BMW.

Just checked out your web site. Now I know why you call your MR2 a landjet. I like the fact that it's a sleeper on the outside and a monster under the hood.
Congrats on the birth of your son BTW!

Landjet: That is the nicest MR2 I have ever seen. Have you timed it to 60 or 1/4 mile?

Oh, and :welcome:
You'll find a lot of good info and good people here...
