Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knows what the two round objects are under the backseat cushion. At first I thought they where subs, but the wires going to them are to small. Are these some kind of dampeners or air suspension? My family has two X5 (03 4.4i w NAV, 02 3.0i) and it’s the same on both.

I think what you are looking at is the covers for the two (left and right) fuel level gauge sensors underneath the rear seat cushion. REF. BMW TIS
