Opinions on which X5 to get

I am looking at a

2001, Silver on Black, Wide-Nav, Sports Package, Remus, 2004 5 spoke rims, 61000 miles = 25 grand

or

2003, Dark Grey on Black, Sports package, Premium Sound, Nav, 72,000 miles = 27 grand

The debate is = Is it worth the extra 2 or so thousand dollars to get the higher year with more options, but more mileage. Or get the lower year with less miles, better exhaust, and a warranty thru the year?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

When I talked to the local shops they told me to avoid anything before jan of 02 production date...... 3 different shops told me this...... I thought it was weird that they all mentioned the same production dates.... As shops they like the pre 02 versions becase they get to visit alot more....

Interesting, mine was an 11/01 production date. No big issues. A few small ones. I am very happy.

I should also mention that the 2001 has 3 owners and the 2003 has 1 owner.

Thanks again.

Go for the 2003 and tell them you have other considerations and what will sway you to them is dropping the price by 2 grand. This way you got what you really want I think.
