Extended Warranty Sticky

Hi, I recently posted a message in regards to getting feedback on purchasing an extended warranty for my 2001 x5. I was unable to purchase one through the dealership, so I will need to go with an outside company.

Someone replied that I should post a sticky for better resposes. I have no clue what this is. Can someone please point me in the right direction????

Thanx

Happy Holidays!!!!!!!

I had posted that MD should post a sticky since he responds with the most pertinent information each time the topic comes up. This would allow new members to see the info right off the bat.

MD........you're retired right, find some free time hahahaha. J/K.

A "sticky" post is one that is set by a site moderator or adminsitrator because it contains information that is very important to everyone on the site. Not to minimize the importance of this to you personally, but getting you an aftermarket warranty for your X5 probably doesn't meet the criteria to be a "sticky".

Good luck with your quest and Happy Holidays!

Thanks. I just find that hard to believe seeing that I'm sure that there are others who would benefit from such information. Also I noticed that there are various "other" minor facts posted in comparion to this one.

Hi IL...not speaking for, or on behalf of UCrew, (he & Drex are co-founders and owners of this board),
but what I think UCrew intended:

A "Sticky" literally sticks at the top of forums until removed by a Mod or Admin.

An "Extended Warranty/Ext Maintenance" info link may be appropriate, but if it existed, it would
probably be placed on the Main Page where a compendium of info is listed. Jes' my guess...

And, someone has to write/assemble that batch of info; I've sorta volunteered. I may get something
together over the next week or so, and submit it for Admins' approval.

It is important, it just doesn't need to be a "sticky", and there are lots of threads on that topic,
many of which I've posted to and driveled on at length, in response, as I did to your orig question.

Hope this helps and makes it more clear.

After Market Extended Warranty Anyone

Thanks,

I think that this would be a great thread in which others could relate to. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one is this situation.
