X5 price dropp.....wait for the e70 instead ?

I was interested in buying an X5, but I have noticed that the prices have dropped quite dramatically in the last few months. Buying right around new release, is something I have been burned before with my ML500 05 model when a new one comes out.

My budget is 30-35K. I am wondering, Do you think perhaps, just wait for a year and get an e70 is a better investment in the 30's, or perhaps just go for current cayenne or ML , which are both not going to be replaced anytime soon.
