Where can i get the 2005 looking lights for my 2002 X5?

I would like to get some clear 2005 looking lights for my 2002 X5.
I have seen them before and they look very good.
Where can i get a pair of them from and does anybody have them installed?
BTW: i dont want angel eyes i want the full headlight not the little glowin rings inside the lights!!

You're going to have to undertake a complete front end facelift to get the 2005 headlights. Click here for the parts list. It's not for the faint of heart of light of wallet. Bear in mind that those prices do not include paint and labour. Also, I'm not sure if the prices for the headlights is for xenons or halogens.

I have seen quite a lot of them with the 2005 style lights, but the difference is they have the 2002 model bottom dips so they fit on a 2000-2003

No the HID lamps to not fit as a direct replacement on a 2002. The ones you are seeing that you say look like direct fits are not OEM HID lamps. As was listed, there is quite a parts list to putting BMW HID lamps on a 2002. The front clip is almost entirely different in shape. It would be like putting a Corvette hood on a Ferrari.

Do a google search, there are kits you can use to make a vehicle HID that do not require swapping OEM lamps.

You can purchase cleared lights on ebay or just open your current headlights and take out the amber reflector.

While you are at it, you can retrofit our Predator Chromium Angel Eyes to achieve the angel eye look you see on newer X5s.

Well Willy, you sure showed us. You need to be more specific. You stated that you want 2005 style lights but what you should have stated was that you wanted to have the "angel eyes" and to have the amber removed. Some of us interpreted what you wrote as wanting the newer post-facelift headlights that are available in some markets with clear turn signal lenses and do require new front bumper, hood, and front clips to fit.

Your answers would have been immediately available as the angel eyes and clearing the amber mods are quite commonplace indeed. Do a search for angel eyes and you can read up on how to do them. There are a few places here that will do it for you but it might be tough since you're in Oz.

Opps sorry, I think i would be able to do them myself, i have changed mine once before because i had a crack in my lens. Is it different to change the lights to the angel eyes than just changing them to the normal lights?

Willy,

That's a pic of my X, which is an '01. Doing the "upgrade" is a fairly simple process, just follow the directions on the home page and you should be fine.
