Belts for the 3.0i .. Few Questions.
1. I understand that the AC belt can be done from down below without taking out the fan, but do you have to take the fan out for the pump / Alternator belt? 2. If you have to take out the fan: a) can you do the AC belt without taking off the underplate? I mean do both the belts from the top. 3. can you do AC belt first? does it have to come out to do the pump belt? incase AC belt can be done only from under. 4. any gotchas / should have tips? anything else that needs to be done while this is being done? any special torx end reqd? Thanks Guys!

you MIGHT have enough room to snake the belt over the fan. you should do both belts at the same time since 1 has to come out for the other.
you'll need to remove the bottom panel. you shouldn't even need to jack up the vehicle. it's just a bunch of 8mm/10mm bolts. I can't remember but you may need the torx to move one of the tensioners. |
