After the storm...

After Irene passed by on Sunday, I lost cable. I just managed to get cable back today so I can finally watch TV and get internet and phone service! These are some pictures I took the day after Irene. The whole set and more of my photos are on my Flickr page.

This was all before I got shaving cream sprayed all over the car. Spent 3 hours yesterday to clean it up again and then took it in for service right after. It's back today running as fresh as ever!

Amazing rain/water devastation up there in my ol'stomping grounds of NJ/NY...
cool pics.

"This was all before I got shaving cream sprayed all over the car..."
There are punques out shaving cream cars, while the entire northeast is trying to
dry out?

There was maybe 10 inches of water at the bridge I showed in "After Storm 010." I was hesitant to go through with the X5 until I saw an old lady in a Lexus ES300 pass through just fine. I just don't trust the "offroad" capabilities of the X5 at all. The last parking lot picture had 4 feet of water at its highest point. Just ahead of the front bumper was already 3 feet so I couldn't drive in further.

They weren't punks putting shaving cream all over cars. It was a XC team scavenger hunt and I got herded into being a driver. The other team did what they had to do to slow me and my team down. It's all in good fun even though I had to wash a freshly waxed X5 again.
