Options list from dealer for your Vin #

Here is a suggestion for BMW owners:

Next time you visit your dealership go to the parts counter and ask them to print out the Options list for your car's Vin#.

My parts guy offered it to me which I gladly accepted, he called it "Your cars Birth Certificate." It is a very useful piece of paper that you should file in your cars paperwork and/or your owner's manual. This is a list of every Option and Standard equipment on your BMW from engine type to upholstery and paint colors and what the parts guy uses to find the appropriate parts for your car.

My list was a page and a half long and will be very handy when ordering parts, matching paint or selling your vehicle.

Always have your Vin # or this list with you when you order parts as many parts are specific to your Vin #.

I got my list of options by email. I talked to the service coordinator and she told me she'll send it via email. It has everything you said like all the specs and standard equipment plus options.

That is great BMWLover! I think this list will be very handy when ordering parts, not to mention when it is time to sell.
