I know this might be a retarded question, but where are the relays located on my 2001 BWM X5? I've located all of the fuses, but I'm having an issue finding the major relay to my interior fan/blower.
Please help me out and excuse my stOOpidity...LOL. *I believe that my battery drain issue is steming from a faulty relay; I am almost positive I'm not having an issue with the final stage resistor or a burned out fuse. |

There are some relays in the trunk compartment (Right side.) The one you're looking for is probably in the glove box (Behind the fuse box.)

Thanks for the reply, King. Yeah, I've noticed those in the trunk area, but had no clue there were relays behind the fuse box in the glove compartment...any easy way to get to them?

The relay for the fan is not a relay but instead a solid state transistor called a "final stage" It is located on the passenger side of the heater box. if you remove the glovebox it is easier to access it. try removing the glovebox then looking up and to your left.
check out this link.. its for a 540 but is basically the same. http://www.540i6.com/finalstagereplacement.html
