Angry lock actuator problem

just recently had the front passenger side lock actuator changed from the dealer. but in under 24hrs it started doing the same thing "wouldnt unlock or would'nt lock" even tryied to pull the door lever from the inside still wouldnt unlock. Do you guys think that since they replaced the lock actuator, and the problem is still there. It might not have been the actuator but something else. Has this happened to anyone else before? i have a x5 4.4 01

i think they messed up while installing the new actuator
i installed one last week, there's a little cable ball that connects to the rod(pop up thingy) that has to be pressed prettey hard back in, if they didn't do that, it might have jumped out and now it's not working
that's just one possiblities among others, if they did the work, i'd take it back to them and let them know about it, be very firm
