:xoutpost:

Very common problem, unfortunately. Do a thread search "pixels" for some info.

And post some pics of your new X!!

There are quite a few of us in the States that wish we had that diesel option to keep us up at night

:xoutpost: Check with BMW about a fix. They take care of it over here sometimes.

i am hoping bmw will sort it out cheap as a good will gesture, they have done this before on a friend of mines 2003 x5. it also helps when the car has full main dealer service history.

:xoutpost: See, the key to driving a V8 X5 is to not worry about fuel consumption. If you try and baby the gas pedal, hoping to save gas, you enjoy none of the driving dynamics (or sound) of a BMW while still using quite a bit of gas. Better to just give it the boot occasionally (*road and weather conditions permitting) and just enjoy the car.

I took my 2001 to the dealer for service a few months ago. When my SA saw I had at least 10 dead pixel rows, he contacted BMWNA and they replaced it for free...I only had to pay labor.
